About
Education: University of Illinois BA in Speech and Language Hearing Science and MA in Clinical Speech Language Pathology. I hold an American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence and license in the state of California.
Prior Experience: I have 20+ years of experience practicing as a speech and language pathologist in a variety of settings. I began my career working with the elementary, preschool, and early intervention populations. I greatly enjoy working with young children and started my own early intervention business in Chicago employing 5-7 therapists at a time. All of our services were home based and tailored to meet the needs of families. For 7 years, I was part of a multidisciplinary team and completed developmental evaluations for 0-3 years olds. After moving to the east bay in 2013, I began working with middle and high school age students. I found a new passion for working with older students and their families.
Advanced training and Areas of Interest: Augmentative and Alternative Communication, Apraxia, Language Development, Pragmatics/Social skills, and Autism. I am also trained in the SOS (Sequential-Oral-Sensory) Approach to Feeding.
